Fellowship Baptist Church believes that both the Church and Christian must maintain doctrinal purity. Protection from false doctrine comes primarily from a personal study and application of God’s Word (Ps. 119:9, 105). We will not associate with or support those individuals or organizations that openly violate the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith (Rom. 16:17; Col. 2:8).

As the world is, in its nature, opposed to God, we believe that every believer is to remain in the world, but not identified with the world (1 Cor. 2:12) The only way to be a clear testimony to the world while remaining holy is to remain separate in every area of life, including media, dress, relationships, and lifestyle choices (Phil. 4:8; 1 Jn. 2:15).

Fellowship Baptist Church believes that it is possible for a person to be outwardly separated from the wickedness of the world, and yet have no true relationship with God (2 Tim. 3:5). We believe that, just as important as is it to be separated from the world, the believer must be separated to Christ (2 Pet. 1:15-16, 3:11). This involves a complete surrender to the will of God and the Word of God. A believer cannot avoid being in the world, but by living the Christ-life he is able to avoid being of the world (Jn. 17:15-17)
